Air Options were asked to carry out a feasibility survey of the Euston Rd site and produce budgets accordingly. The project was to be a mixture of comfort cooling for office areas and installation of a laboratory in the basement.
The lab area needed to comply to stringent guidelines surrounding cross contamination and cleanliness of the areas. Some areas operate under positive pressure and others under negative to suit the clients business model and to also meet legislation. All lab areas need to be clean whereby good filtration levels are essential.
Whilst the project was not entirely budget driven, cost was an issue given the occupancy term for this building was only to be circa five years. With this in mind we value engineered a solution based upon a mixture of Mitsubishi Electric splits, VRF and HRV ( heat recovery vent ) style systems.
With quality and value in mind we went about our business in engineering a viable solution. The installation came in on budget and works as it was designed, in meeting the clients requirement perfectly.
